New York City. Just the words bring to mind images of steel buildings reaching up to touch the sky, hoards of people converging and colliding in masses too numerous to even attempt to count, and the seemingly endless stream of taxi cabs sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. It’s a kaleidoscopic mess of culture, creativity, diversity, and ambition.   Without a doubt, there is no place I would rather be than in this busy, metropolitan center. I look forward to the mixture of people, languages, and even the confusion of the subway lines with the same anticipation of a child on Christmas Eve.  I’ve spent the past four years looking forward to the day where I could say “I live in New York City”, and now that that day is just around the corner, the excitement, impatience, and day dreams are nearly overwhelming.

However, along with these thoughts have come the (rather startling) realization…
